Sunward icon: two suns on a horizon

The shakedown run.

Sunward is in closed testing on Google Play. A handful of seats, two weeks, your real numbers — and a direct line to the person who builds it.

What this is

Sunward puts everything you own and owe into one number — bank balances, shares, crypto, your home, your pension, your mortgage — with Irish taxes built in and everything encrypted on your phone. It works; I run my own money on it. But before a new studio may launch publicly, Google asks for proof: at least 12 testers, opted in for 14 days straight. Fair enough. You'd be the proof.

It is a beta: expect the odd rough edge. Your data is never the rough edge — it's encrypted with a key only you hold, and you can export everything, or delete everything, at any time.

How to join

  1. Tell me the email your Google Play account uses Send it to hello@outerrimlabs.app with the subject "Sunward beta". That address goes on the testers list and nowhere else.
  2. Wait for the "you're in" reply Usually the same day. Google needs you on the list before the next step works.
  3. Open the tester page on your Android phone and tap "Become a tester" Then install Sunward from the Play Store like any other app. Updates arrive by themselves.

The one ask: stay aboard for the full two weeks.

Google counts testers continuously — if the crew drops below 12, the clock restarts for everyone. Keep the app installed and stay opted in until the run ends. You don't have to use it daily (though the fixes come faster when you do).

What's in it for you

Everything unlocked, nothing to pay during the beta. New builds land on your phone within minutes of shipping. And your gripes genuinely steer the thing — most of this month's fixes started as two testers' screenshots. When Sunward charges for the forward-looking features later, the first crew will not be forgotten.
